For more than 30 years, Rainforest Action Network (RAN) has campaigned to preserve forests, protect the climate and uphold human rights by challenging corporate power and systemic injustice through research, education, partnerships, peaceful direct action, grassroots organizing, strategic campaigns and communications. THE POSITION
RAN is looking for a motivated, passionate and tenacious individual to support our global Forest team as the Japan Campaigner. The ability to execute public campaigns in Japan in collaboration with staff and allied organizations is essential. A high level of professionalism and confidentiality is crucial.
This position leads the execution of public campaign work for the Forest Program in Japan and will work side-by-side with our Japan Representative, Communications Coordinator and our 20+ person team working across North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.
Reports to: The Japan Campaigner will report to RAN’s Forest Policy Director and communicate on activities to the global team on a weekly basis.
Location: Eligible to work remotely within the greater Tokyo area or to work out of RAN’s office in Tokyo.

COMPENSATION
This is a full-time position with an anticipated fee starting at 5,000,000 JPY annually, commensurate with experience.
